Social Insight Into Action by Gavin Ricketts

We created this animation for Capgemini’s social media listening offering, together with Attensity and Pegas.

Ruth Bratt was our voice over star.

Helping communicate your company during a pitch by Gavin Ricketts

We got a call from Commetric asking for our help again. They were pitching to a client and wanted to show all the people from their offices across Europe, America and the Middle East, So we came up with a plan where each office got hold of a Flip camera, or similar. We gave them some spec tips, so knew which ones to buy. We then sent them a simple “how to film yourself” document, so they used basic lighting techniques to get a decent picture filming it themselves.

We took this short profile videos, and put them together in an animation showing where in the world they were based. We then made two title sequences, one specific to the client they were hoping to win, one generic one that they could use at any pitch. So they got a highly bespoke piece, a flexible video and great ROI.

Need help editing the content you’ve shot? by Gavin Ricketts

We’ve just helped out newest client InterHealth edit a short piece on their MyHealth project.

They contacted us after they’d already shot some material on a Flip camera. We gave some guidance on how it was shot, suggested some cutaways, then brought the material together.

We’re finding more and more of our client are filming their own content. We can offer guidance on how to edit the material together, keep the branding clear and the message concise.

While the end film is maybe not as slick as those that we shoot, the clip feels real, accessible and of the moment, which is especially important when you’re dealing with someone’s health.

If you have a project you want us to help you bring together, just give us a call on 020 7729 6909.

#GetMeSocial US Army’s exemplary Twitter Schedule by Gavin Ricketts

We stumbled on this Twitter schedule that the US Army follows with, well, military precision.

In our #GetMeSocial workshops we always say that Social Media is another mouth to feed, and a greedy one at that. This timetable helps prompt and guide their content, making sure during the week the various themes of their work are covered.

I also like the way they’ve added stats at the bottom, showing how successful that day was – a great way to monitor your progress.

Twittertastic – It’s lovely when people Tweet nice things about you by Gavin Ricketts

I’ve been putting the finishing touches to some touches to some new marketing materials today, including some testimonials. Sometimes it gets hard writing about your business. How you’re great. How you do a good job. How you’re a nice company to work with who also deliver good results.

So it was nice to see a thread of conversation on Twitter, which started from someone complimenting Carrie from Simpl, one of our clients on the video we created for them. Then Shane from Gallomanor and Justin from FutureGov chipped in. Gave me a completely unprompted boost to get the marketing finished!

This kind of unprompted, public testimonial is one of the great things about Twitter. If you want help building up your Social Media presence, check out GetMeSocial.

If you want to read the conversation, start at the bottom and work your way up.

Creating an presentation with an impact by Gavin Ricketts

Earlier in the year, one of our clients, a PR and Social Media company, asked us to create a series of visuals for a presentation. Last week we got a call as another executive who’d seen the presentation wanted us to reversion it for another presentation they were doing, with updated stats and content. This could be done very cost effectively, given that we had already developed the style, within the branding direction we’d been given for the first project.

Unfortunately, the project is confidential, so we can’t show you any screen grabs or tell you who their client is, but it was for a major international organization and you’ve almost certainly used their products over the last month!

We were recently asked by Future Gov, the creators of new site Simpl, to reversion a short video explaining how their website works. At first the video was a slide-show of screen shots from the website, with a voice over providing the explanation.

To bring the video to life, we highlighted key points using animated text, added action and video clips into the screen shots and finished off the video with some music and sound effects. This was all done using the Simpl branding, leaving them with a video that sits as an integral part of their site.

If you’re like me, then it’s at this time of year that you start to realise how close Christmas is getting. And if you’re like many of our clients, you’re wondering how to send out seasonal wishes to your clients, suppliers and friends. Well, imagine if you could send out a bespoke Christmas greeting, whether that was a personalised video message, or an animation featuring your company logo. And still sticking to a reasonable budget.

We can help you with this. For just £250*, we’ll create a short animation, using your company branding. It can either be totally animation, or we can come to your office and film a short address video message and add a simple animation at the end. Just put it on your website and email it to spread your seasonal felicitations.

And to spread the festive cheer a little further, we’re donating 10% of the profits from this promotion to our chosen charity this year, the Dog’s Trust. Please give Lewis a call on 020 7729 6909 to find out more.

*Please note travel costs may be added, depending on your location.

Finding the Rightshore for your business… by Gavin Ricketts

Capgemini asked us to help them communicate their Rightshore offering and they wanted to use animation.

We spent a while getting the look right, then developed 3 sequences for them, each on a different aspect of Rightshore. We coached one of their staff to give the voice over, which was a nice touch to give the film a ‘we made this’ flavour. You can see the full clips in situ here or watch our short version below:
