Them There: Event no. 1 clip online
by Gavin Ricketts
We’re a member of Them There, a collection of like-minded business based in East London. We meet to network and also to talk about the challenges of running a small business, and group together to organise events. The challenge was to produce a simple clip that both captured the essence of the event, but we also got chance to talk about how Them There works. So we managed to interview a lot of the Them There members, and after a few glasses of wine, it was clear all had something to say!
It was quite a challenging environment as it had very low levels of light, which is great for a moody party, but not so great for camera work!

We filmed at the ThemThere Event No 1 party last week, and pics are now coming in… this one is of us lot mid filming! Parties are always tough to shoot. It’s noisy usually with recognisable music tracks, people like the light dimmed which makes all the faces dark, and your antenna has to be twitching for all the cables and kit for health and safety and security reasons. The one advantage is that people are usually a little merry, so easier to persuade to be filmed!
ThemThere is a collaboration of East London based small businesses working in the creative industries.

Filming Interveiws for ThemThere
by Gavin Ricketts
Today we filmed some interviews for a project for ThemThere, a networking group we’ve recently joined.
The group is a a coterie of small creative companies and one man or woman bands that operate in and around East London. The group is made up of architects, graphic designers, furniture manufacturers, transporters, product designers, textile designers, a lighting company, interior designers, project managers, and, of course, video producers.
The aim of the group is not just to network to look for new business, but also to share experience and ideas to help develop our companies. We’re looking forward to being active members of the group, and we’ve started by filming a video to explain to those interested what the group is about. Hopefully, it will be ready for the party we’re having next week.
