We delivered this clip for our client last week. It was screened for our client, our client’s boss, his boss and their boss. That far up, surely that has to be Barrack himself? Anyway, after the screening, they burst into a round of applause! So our client is very happy indeed.

Today we filmed some interviews for a project for ThemThere, a networking group we’ve recently joined.
The group is a a coterie of small creative companies and one man or woman bands that operate in and around East London. The group is made up of architects, graphic designers, furniture manufacturers, transporters, product designers, textile designers, a lighting company, interior designers, project managers, and, of course, video producers.
The aim of the group is not just to network to look for new business, but also to share experience and ideas to help develop our companies. We’re looking forward to being active members of the group, and we’ve started by filming a video to explain to those interested what the group is about. Hopefully, it will be ready for the party we’re having next week.

We’ve just completed a piece for Commetric, who do some really interesting work connecting communications with business activities. We produced a voice over with music for a powerpoint presentation.
As it was our first job we did for them, we asked for a little feedback. Here’s what Chris Shaw, CEO of Commetric, wrote:
“As someone who has never done any form of production – where to start/what to do/what is involved were a complete fog. So we looked for speed and understanding; prepared to listen to the brief and develop it. No technical jargon.
You gave good customer service – accessible – provided advise and a series of options; you seemed to get what we wanted extremely quickly and delivered a great result.”
Great to hear that kind of feedback! I think the reason we do is because we listen to our clients, ask a whole load of questions to make sure we understand what they’re after before starting work. Of course, there are times when we make suggestions in a different direction, but the most important thing to do is listen to what the client has in their mind at the start.

Today we did a great voice over session with the multi-talented actress/comedienne/writer Ruth Bratt. We were recording for Commetric, a new client who wanted a serious, authoritative tone to the voice over. This is not what I associate with Ruth, who’s a funny, bright, vivacious woman. But suddenly in the recording booth, she turned her voice into something so completely different to her natural way of being, an octave deeper, slower and mature tone, sat in the other engineering room I could hardly believe it was her voice! Brilliant job.

We’ve been settled into our new offices for some months now, and we’re loving the local area. Plenty of fab places to eat, go for drinks after work and local parks for Leon to have his afternoon walk.
Today we finally got around to putting up our logo on the door, and it looks fab! We get a lot of people walking past from Mother/Tea Building/Shoreditch House, so the next step is to get a little more advertising in the window.. more on that later…

We made this clip as a round up of the conference we streamed live last week. In it, the organiser gives us a great testimonial for how the streaming went!

Today we had the second animation job in. We’re excited as both have lots of visual possibilities.
Also means we need another animator in the house, so now advertising… if you are an animator and interest in working with us, send us an email!

Today we streamed a conference centred around issues facing rural areas, so depopulation, access to broadband, financial stability.
The most memorable workshop was this one where the speaker used a dead tree to get delegates engaged!
The stream went well, especially since the hotel chosen was appropriately in the middle of the Norfolk countryside, and their broadband connection was initially limited, but we managed to get it boosted!

We were filming a piece about the West Sussex PCT, so we had a day filming around the county, from up in the South Downs to down on the beach. And it was such a glorious sunny day, hardly felt like work.

We’re having to work on the Bank Holiday as one client project is based in Sweden and it’s not a Bank Holiday there… the joys of working with international clients!
However got some great feedback from a few people on a project for the same team we delivered on Friday, which cheered us up. First came these two comments:
“Amazing!!! That’s a great work, thanks a lot.”
“Excellent ! Very good presentation and mix of slides/images/and voice over. Thanks.”
and then this:
“You will be pleased to know apart from their direct messages, the guys have been emailing me all morning with multiple praise over your video!
The graphics are really stunning on it!”
It’s always nice to hear the work is hitting the right buttons!
